Q: How to connect the Starfit APP with the Scale?

A: 1, Download Starfit APP and complete registration;
2, Click "Account" → "My Devices" → "+" , Click on "Searching bluetooth for pairing";
3, Power on the scale by your foot;
4, When "Runstar-Rx" appears, tap it to connect.

Q: How can multiple users use the same scale?

A: 1.Multiple Users with Separate Starfit Accounts. Please note only 1 Starfit account can pair with the smart scale at a time when measuring.
2.Add Users within the same account. please click the avatar icon in the upper left corner on "Measure" page or find the "+" on the upper right connect of "Account" page, then you can add new users.
3.If you want to change user,please click the icon of avatar. Note:user changes must be made before measurement.

Q: Can the Starfit APP be used on an iPad? In other words, can the runstar scale be connected to an iPad?

A: Sorry, Starfit APP does not support iPad at the moment and cannot be used on iPad, so we do not recommend using iPad to download Starfit and connect with scale. Thank you!

Q: How can I turn off the background sound? (for Runstar-R8)

A: Go to "My Devices" in the Starfit APP, click "Runstar-R8" to enter the details page, where you can directly pull the volume bar to turn off "Background Music" and "Voice Assistant", or choose to turn off the sound individually.

Q: How to compare the data for the past?

A: 1.On "Chart" page in the Starfit app, you can choose the Recent, Week, Month, and Year to compare the reading.
2.To compare data from any two days, on the chart page:
Click User Data → Click the + button in the top right corner → Contrast → Select the date in the calendar → Choose the data you want to compare → Click the button in the center bottom corner.

Q: How to know the meaning of each data in the Starfit app? for example, body fat, BMI etc.

A: You can find the meaning for each data through clicking the icon for each data.

Q: How to view the measurements of past, for example the data two days ago?

A: You can find the history measurements on "Charts" page in the Starfit app, by clicking "User Data" to to enter the calendar and choose the date that you want to view.

Q: How to delete the measurements that I don't need?

A: For deleting data, please try the following steps:
1. Click "Charts" → "User Data", find the date and the data you want to delete
2. Swipe left to see the Delete button.

Q: How to share the measurement report to social media apps?

A: 1. When you have just finished measuring, click the "┇" in the upper right corner of the "Measure" page, and you will see "Share",click it to jump to the page with complete data display, and then click the share symbol in the upper right corner again to start selecting the platform you want to share.
2. If you want to share the measurement results of a specific day, go to the "Charts" page, click "User Data" to enter the calendar and select the date you want to share, then click the corresponding measurement result below to enter the details page, and click the share symbol in the upper right corner to start selecting the platform you want to share.

Why can't I add users to this scale? (for FG2305/FI2019-G)

1, Remember to click "Become Device Owner" in the APP when connecting the scale.
2, First add a user in the "User" at the top of the APP "Account" interface.
3, Go to "My Devices" to enter the scale details interface, click "User managerment" to add user.

Can I measure without connecting the APP?

Without the APP, the scale can only measure weight. Since body composition can only be obtained with the APP, the scale must be used with the APP.

How to delete a user?

1.Click "Account"in Starfit APP.
2.Find the user you want to delete and swipe left, you can see a delete button.
3.The main user cannot be deleted using the above methods. If you wish to delete the main user, you can do so by clicking Delete Account on the Account page and entering your login password. Please note that deleting your account will delete all of your personal information and data, so please proceed with caution.

How to change my information?

1.Click "Account"in Starfit APP.
2.Find "User" on the interface and click it.
3.Then you can change your information such as nickname,birthday and so on.
4.After you change the information, click "Confirm".

How can I change the unit?

You can press the "UNIT" button on the back of the product to switch weight units.
You can also try the following steps:
1.Click "Account"in the APP
2.Find "Switch Units"in "Settings"
3.Set the units you want.

Can I connect new device to Starfit? How to do that?

Yes, you can add other scales to Starfit.
For adding a new device, please try the following steps:
1. Click "Account" → "My Devices" → "+" , Click on "Searching bluetooth for pairing"
2. Power on the scale by your foot.
3. When "Runstar-Rx" appears, tap it to connect.
NOTE: If your new scale is identical to your old one, you may need to rename your previous scale, as two scales with the same name cannot be Bluetooth paired at the same time.

Can the scale be connected with more than one user's app of diffenrent phones at same time?

No, the scale just can be connected with one user's app at the same time.

Why the scale hasn"t show 8 core data on the screen, but only weight?

Please confirm:
1.Whether the scale is connected to the Starfit APP. The connection must be done in the Starfit APP.
2.Stand on the scale for more than 20 seconds.
3.Make sure you take the measurements barefoot.
4.Please check whether the scale is low on power.
5.For 8-electrode scales, make sure you hold the handle in the correct way, with your fingers on the corresponding electrodes.

Why does the APP keep telling me that my posture is incorrect?

Please check if the skin on your hands and feet is too dry. Try applying moisturizer and measuring again.
For 8-electrode scales,
1. Please check whether all fingers are attached to the electrode pads. The two thumbs need to be attached to the side electrodes; the soles of both feet need to touch all the electrodes on the scale.
2. Do not keep your arms close to your body, lift them up to form a 45-degree angle with your body. Stand with your legs apart, leaving a certain gap in the middle.
3. If you still cannot measure, please contact the customer service team to request a replacement.

What should I do if I lose my charging cable?

Any Type C charging cable can be used to charge this scale, or you can directly contact the Runstar Service Team for solution (lower right corner).

Why keeps disconnected?

1. Must turn on your phone's Bluetooth.
2. For iOS, please allow the Starfit app to use your phone's Bluetooth and network.
3. For Android, please allow the Starfit app to use your phone's Bluetooth and network
and location.
4.Please make sure you have successfully connected the scale in the starfit APP, not in the Bluetooth list of your phone.
5.Confirm that there are no other devices around that are connected to the body fat scale.

Where to find the warranty code?

The warranty code is on the label which is attached on the backside of the scale.

The scale shows "Lo", what does mean of it?

"Lo" means the batteries of the scale are low, please replace the batteries.

What can I do if my scale doesn't turn on?

If your device is battery powered, please change new batteries and clean the metal spring in the compartment for a try;
If your device is rechargeable, please change another charging cable and plug for a try, 5V/1A charger is suggested.
If it still cannot help, please send a short video about your problem to service@runstar.store. Our customer service team will give you a best solution.

Why can't the cable be retracted?

1. The cable reel is equipped with a limiter, one every 1 meter. Gently pull forward to loosen the limiter and allow the cable to retract automatically.
2. If the cable reel still cannot be retracted after multiple pulls, the cable reel may be faulty. Please contact the customer service team for a replacement.

Why are the measured data so different/inaccurate?

When using a body fat scale, data accuracy can be improved by standardizing the operation and paying attention to the measurement conditions, the following specific recommendations can be referred to:
It is recommended to measure after waking up in the morning before eating or drinking (e.g. before breakfast), when the body's water and metabolic state are more stable.
Measurement operation:
1. Place on a hard, flat non-carpeted surface (e.g., tile), avoid soft surfaces such as carpets that affect electrode contact.
2. Stand barefoot: step evenly on the electrode pads to ensure that the electrodes are in full contact with the skin.
3. Remain still: stand up and relax naturally, put your hands down on both sides (for 8-electrode scales, grip the handle correctly), avoid shaking or supporting other objects.
4. Fixed time: It is recommended to measure at the same time every day (e.g. in the morning) to minimize fluctuations caused by diet and exercise.

Data Interpretation:
1. Focus on trend: single measurement has limited significance, it is recommended to record weekly data continuously to observe long-term changes.
2. Multi-dimensional reference: Combine with weight, BMI, muscle mass and other indicators to comprehensively assess the physical condition.
The above method can minimize the measurement error and make the data of body fat scale reflect the changes of body composition more realistically.
Please try as above suggestion. And please understand that RunStar Smart Scales are just ordinary home device, and there will be a certain diffrence in accuracy compare with professional medical measuring device.
